There have been whispers that Rihanna is already working on her next album. Now Ryan Seacrest confirms reports that the red-haired diva is back in the lab with a new project due later this year.
RiRi, who is currently making her way around the country on her "LOUD" tour, has plans to release her sixth album this fall. It would come as no surprise as she has put out five albums in the past five years, with her most recent project LOUD still spawning hit singles.
Seacrest spoke with the singer's camp and made the announcement on his KIIS FM radio show. "We can confirm that Rihanna is currently working on material and will release a brand new album this fall," he said, while also shooting down rumors that she is dating Drake.
Singer-songwriter Kevin Rudolf previously told Rap-Up.com that he has been submitting material for the as-yet-untitled project. "[I'm] writing some stuff for Rihanna right now," he said. "I hear she's back at it."
UPDATE: Rihanna clarified Seacrest's comments, alluding to a re-release of her latest album. "The #LOUDera continues with more new music to add to ur collection!!!" she explained.
In two words Rihanna shut down rumors of a romance with Drake. The rumors resurfaced after the two were spotted on stage, at clubs and in restaurants together in Canada over the week. The Bajan pop star is currently on her Loud tour.
The two were linked last year after Drake said in an interview that Rihanna used him as a “pawn.” He told the New York Times: "You know what she was doing to me? She was doing exactly what I've done to so many women throughout my life, which is show them quality time, then disappear. I was like, wow, this feels terrible."
In response, Rihanna said, "We weren't really sure what it was. I definitely was attracted to Drake, but I think it is what it is—like it was what it was... We didn't want to take it any further." However, when she was asked via Twitter if they two were currently dating, Rihanna wrote back, "Nah, Boo."
Rumors of a romance between Drake and Rihanna began swirling all the way back to 2009 and now those same rumors have resurfaced recently. The YMCMB rapper/singer joined Rihanna on the Toronto leg of her Loud tour last week to perform their hit duet, "What's My Name," and also jumped on stage in Montreal over the weekend. In between the two shows, the two artists were spotted together frequently dining out, or going out to clubs together. Considering the star power of both artists, this would be the highest profile couple since Beyonce and Jay-Z.'
As the romance rumors were deaded last year, Drake revealed that he had felt used and hurt by the brief relationship. But it seems he's over that now, and ready to take Aaliyah's advice and try again.
Various media sites have been reporting that the two entertainers are officially a couple, causing the two superstars' fans to sound off on twitter.
"Drake nd Rihanna might be a better couple than Jay nd Beyonce'," tweeted @TheeIggyOG, suggesting that hip hop's prom queen and king could soon be replaced. "Watch the throne, Jay!"
"If Drake wants to stay relevant for the next 10 yrs he gotta get his heartbroken atleast 30 times" added in user @RichYungPrice. "20 of them gotta come from Rihanna."
"So Drake and Rihanna a couple, cuteness!!" @libramary87 excitedly added in.
Hopefully, the union will result in some more quality music, in addition to the obvious gossip and media frenzy that will be sure to follow them.
She's no stranger to showing off her body in risque outfits on stage.
But last night Rihanna decided to push the boundaries of everyday fashion as she went for dinner wearing a sheer knitted roll neck which left little to the imagination.
The 23-year-old singer failed to maintain any modesty in the top as she was also going bra-less for the occasion.
Rihanna teamed the top with a matching skirt as she headed to the Telus Theater in Montreal, Canada, where she was apparently paid an astonishing $100,000 for a two-hour appearance in the club.
The California King Bed singer had flown into Montreal over the weekend to watch the Canadian Grand Prix.
And her number one song Umbrella was never more appropriate as when Rihanna got caught in a downpour during a dramatic day of Formula 1 racing.
As she made her way to the VIP area she was followed by excited photographers and cameramen, one of whom fell to the ground as he walked backwards raising a laugh from the singer.
Rihanna later spent time being given a guided tour of the circuit by British racing driver Lewis Hamilton.
The 26-year-old crashed out of the Grand Prix after a collision with his team mate Jenson Button.
He received a consolatory hug from Rihanna when she appeared in the McLaren pit, and then two then discussed his crash.
Later in the day Rihanna was still dressed in the same outfit she was wearing at the Grand Prix.
The weather in Montreal was far from tropical but that didn't stop the singer from being a little underdressed as she took a break from her Loud tour.
Wearing a long blazer jacket, Rihanna risked catching a chill with little underneath apart from a denim shirt and short shorts.
The star was en route to a dinner date with her rapper friend Drake, who was also in the Canadian city.
Rihanna left her hotel in a black Escalade and arrived at Drake's hotel 15 minutes later.
According to witnesses they left Drake's hotel in 2 separated cars, Rihanna in an Escalade and Drake in a Maybach.
They then made their way to Montreal's famous Buonanotte restaurant in the city's downtown district, which is celebrating its 20th year in business.
The restaurant is touted as 'the number one stop for all those wishing to experience the charm, style, flair and grace the city has to offer in it's most vibrant and cosmopolitan boulevard'.
So it was the perfect location for two of the world's richest young musical stars to spend an evening.
Both artists are currently single, fuelling rumours they could be dating.
The duo have already worked together on number one hit What's My Name and Drake recently joined the singer on stage to perform the track in his native Toronto and again last night in Montreal.
Rumours that the couple are dating have been circling ever since Rihanna split with her last boyfriend Matt Kemp.
However Drake was quick to deny they were anything more than friends during an interview on Radio 1 in January.
He told hip-hop DJ Tim Westwood: 'Me and Rihanna have a great connection, but no, we're not together.'
However the couple have a history that can't be denied.
In May 2009, soon after Rihanna had split with Chris Brown, the couple were spotted sharing kisses outside a bowling alley following a night out with friends.
Though nothing came of it, the RnB singer later opened up about their brief fling.
She told radio host Angie Martinez: 'We weren't really sure what it was. We just went out - my friends, his friends.
'I definitely was attracted to Drake, but I think it is what it is, like it was what it was.'
She added: 'We didn't want to take it any further. It was at a really fragile time in my life, so I just didn't want to get too serious with anything or anyone at that time.'
Earlier in the day both stars were at the Canadian Grand Prix to watch Jenson Button take pole position during a dramatic day's racing.
Rihanna has previously denied that she was dating Colin Farrell but the pair were seen at the Montreal Grand Prix earlier today.
Although not pictured together, Farrell was seen in the Lotus Renault GP garage supporting the team while RiRi was avoiding getting that hairpiece wet by enjoying the hospitality in the VIP section.
It was only in March that the couple were reportedly seen on a date in Los Angeles after having met on UK's Graham Norton chat show.
At the time a source told People magazine: "There's no truth whatsoever to the reports and rumours that they're dating."
Rihanna also told Rolling Stone magazine that she thought that the Irish actor was hot but that Farrell probably thinks she's weird because of the rumours. "He probably thinks I'm starting all these crazy rumours! We don't even have each other's numbers. I wish. He's smoking," she said.

Rihanna is giving fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse of her Loud tour, which launched this past weekend, with a video of rehearsal footage which she debuted on her website.
The red-coiffed beauty appears in a variety of tight black outfits in the clip, as she runs through routines with her dancers, equipped with furry handcuffs, plastic chains and shades.
Choreographer Stephanie Roos revealed that Rihanna's new show will be broken up into five distinct sections, highlighting the different sides of the 'S&M' singer.
In the Social 50 chart's top 10 this week, Rihanna climbs 4-2 thanks to the buzz surrounding the release of her latest music video, "Man Down." The clip, which premiered on June 1, has brought in 12 million Vevo views (earning a week-over-week gain).
In the short, the singer literally guns down a man in the dramatic opener. As the story develops, viewers learn that he had sexually assaulted her in a dance club the previous night.
Last night during a performance on her 'Loud Tour', Pop star Rihanna invited rapper Drake on stage. Together the pair treated fans to a rendition of their smash hit 'What's My Name'.

So nice of Rihanna to pay homage to Big Bird with her attire during the performance, though Gabby Goat may have been a more fitting muse.
For with the vocal abilities of a tongueless mute and dance moves that extend to tired whining and vague head tossing, one wonders if the word rehearsal can be found in the so called singer's vocabulary.
As gifted as a performer Drake is, all of his showings with the 'Good Girl Gone Bad' singer lack the energy and excitement that usually surrounds performances put on by two of the world's biggest stars.
Only time will tell what other party tricks Ms.Fenty will pull out of her hat for future shows on the tour.Who knows- maybe she'll actually deliver a vocal that does not evoke the desire to tear one's ears from their head.
