Los Angeles, CA - Live entertainer and pop music superstar Rihanna confirms critically acclaimed lyricist J. Cole will join her and Grammy Award winner Cee Lo Green on the "Loud" North American tour. The tour begins on June 4th in Baltimore with 28 dates around the United States confirmed to date.
"I'm excited to be heading out with Rihanna on the North American leg of her LOUD Tour. I have a high respect for both RiRi and Cee Lo, and I appreciate the opportunity to perform in front of an audience as large and diverse as theirs." said J. Cole.
Following the North American leg, Rihanna will take her show internationally for 56 shows, beginning September 29th in Europe, with sell outs in nearly every market.With over 760,000 tickets purchased around the globe, ticket sales for the 2011 "Loud" tour have already surpassed total ticket sales for Rihanna's 2010 global tour, "Last Girl on Earth", which drew nearly 500,000 fans.
Since her debut in 2005, Rihanna has sold a collective 26 million albums and 46 million digital singles.
Rihanna's current smash single, "S&M" has sold more than 1.2 million digital copies from her hit album LOUD which has given fans a string of #1 hit songs including, "Only Girl" and "What's My Name."
Cole released his first mixtape in 2007 which led to his signing with Roc Nation. Since then, Cole has had a successful tour with Drake, an appearance on JAY-Z's "A Star Is Born" (Blueprint 3), as well as, the covers of the Source, XXL and inclusion in BET's "Rising Icons" series. Cole's highly anticipated studio album is scheduled to be released later this year.
Cee Lo Green is enjoying phenomenal success from his current smash single "Forget You" from his acclaimed third solo release, "Cee Lo Green The Lady Killer". The song became a viral video phenomenon prior to winning a Grammy for "Best Urban/Alternative Performance," at this year's 53rd Annual Grammy Awards ceremony. Green began his career as part of the Atlanta hip hop group Goodie Mob prior to breaking out on his own.

Rihanna and Britney Spears's girl-on-girl kiss at Billboard Music Awards is deemed too hot for TV.
Parents Television Council (PTC) sounded off their protests against the "S&M" show to ABC, the national network which aired the awards show live from MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday night, May 22.
"What happened in Vegas should have stayed in Vegas, as the saying goes," the PTC president and resident wit master Tim Winter shared his outrage in a statement. "It certainly has no place at 8:00 p.m. on the publicly-owned broadcast airwaves."
"I cannot imagine what would possibly lead the ABC television network to air a profanity-laced, S&M sex show on primetime broadcast television. The overtly sexualized performance by Rihanna and Britney Spears was no accident or mishap, but a deliberate effort to target teens with images and lyrics that glamorize whips, chains and other sexual fantasies."
Rihanna and Britney made the "S&M" duet to kick off the Billboard prize giving event. In an effort to fit the R-rated lyrics of the song, the two female artists delivered an equally-racy show. They were dressed in bondage outfit and closed the set by sharing what seemed to be a kiss on the lips. However, from a picture making its round on the web, it can be seen that Britney deliberately gave her right cheek when RiRi leaned in for the smooch.
The pair sizzled during their Billboard performance of the hit song.

If those who complained about Rihanna's X Factor appearance had been watching last night, they probably imploded on the spot at the sight of the scantily clad duo gyrating around with each other before sharing a snog a la Britney/Madonna that caused so much outrage and to be perfectly honest – as well as possibly sounding a little pervy – that one wasn't a patch on this.

Whether it be the sexy wardrobe choices in 'Rude Boy' or salacious commentary on pop culture for 'S&M,' the Bajan beauty likes to keep it interesting which, according to director Anthony Mandler, she will once again achieve for her forthcoming 'Man Down' video.
In an interview with MTV, Mandler promised that the video will not disappoint. "We shot the video last month in Jamaica and it's my favorite song she's ever recorded, so I was really excited to get involved," he said.
"It's just one of those songs that demands a strong narrative and visual, and let's just say she let me go all the way," Mandler continued. "I think you can expect something that's dramatic and shocking and intense and emotional and uplifting and enlightening."
Mandler and Rihanna have worked on 16 videos together and likens their latest collaboration to an "ethereal" and "empowering" video that is going to blow fans away.
Rihanna has been going non-stop since releasing her fifth album 'Loud' in November, which has since gone platinum. This summer, the singer will embark on her headlining tour, kicking off June 4 in Baltimore.

Rihanna's fans want to make sure she's never hurt again by Chris Brown -- even if it's just on Twitter. This weekend, Rihanna began following Brown, the ex-boyfriend who assaulted her in 2009, on Twitter. The pop diva's hardcore devotees, who call themselves "the Rihanna Navy," noticed immediately -- and let's just say they weren't happy.
"I never thought you would go back to him!" one very dedicated fan wrote to the singer. "You better not, its your life but you do have ppl that look up to you. e.g young girls."
Of course, we all know that Rihanna isn't afraid to speak her mind, even on the Internet. (Remember that online confrontation with Ciara back in February?) The singer responded by telling the fan (Twitter handle: iStan4Rihanna) to chill.
"Its f***in twitter, not the alter! calm down," Rihanna wrote.
At first, the fan seemed devastated by Rihanna's response, tweeting to a friend, "Ive wanted @rihanna to tweet me all my life, shes my idol, and she tweetd me somethng bad ):" But when it became clear that iStan4Rihanna was very sorry -- and just fourteen years old! -- Rihanna was quick to apologize.
"Babygirl I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt or offend u!" Rihanna wrote to the fan. "Just needed to make it clear to the Navy! I still Stan for u xoxo."
Rihanna followed her apology with a message of thanks to her whole Navy: "BIG UP to the most dedicated and supportive Mo'fos in MY world! I thank u, I love u til the end!"
This isn't the first time that Rihanna fans have gone on the offensive to try and "protect" her from Brown (even though the 23-year-old can obviously stand up for herself). In February, fans were shocked when Rihanna agreed to lift her restraining order against Brown so that they could both attend industry events without complications. In March, the singer explained that the restraining order has nothing to do with a reconciliation, saying, "It doesn't mean we're gonna make up, or even talk again. We don't have to talk ever again in my life."
Rihanna's fans may still be wary of Brown, but at least one fan seems to have made peace with the situation. Hours after her Twitter exchange with the singer, iStan4Rihanna tweeted that this had been the best day of her life.
Sexy siren Rihanna and former beau Chris Brown reportedly took one more step towards getting back in good graces with each other with social-network platform Twitter serving as the mediator.
According to reports, all of the hoopla started sometime over the weekend when it was revealed that Chris Brown began following the starlet on Twitter. Upon notice, Rihanna followed Breezy back. The possible union didn't sit too well with the former couple's fans. A tweet from Rihanna's account saw the Barbados beauty lashing out at one of her loyal followers who criticized her for following Brown.
"@iStan4Rihanna_ its f*--in twitter, not the alter! calm down," Rihanna tweeted. Shortly after the singer backtracked on her aggresive comments.

Back in February a restraining order was lifted against Brown allowing him to come within close contact with Rihanna. The court order is a result of Brown's felony assault case against Rihanna dating back to 2009.
The restraining order has been replaced by a "level one order." Brown, who was in court with his attorney Mark Geragos, is now allowed to be around Rihanna, provided he abides by certain conditions.
"I'm approving the order," Judge Patricia Schnegg told Brown, according to Radar Online. "You can't annoy, molest, or conduct surveillance of the person on the order."
Rihanna was not present in the courtroom, but her lawyer, Donald Etra, was. "I have spoken with my client, and she does not object to it being modified to a level one order," he said.
It's been just over two years since the assault, which resulted in Brown being ordered to stay at least 50 feet away from Rihanna. Brown pleaded guilty to assault and was sentenced to five years probation and more than 1400 hours of "labor-oriented service."
In November, Schnegg praised Brown for his progress since his initial sentencing. "Of all probationers I've ever had, and I've had thousands of probationers, no one has ever done a better or more consistent job than you have," the judge said at a progress hearing, and on Tuesday, she spoke positively of Brown's participation in domestic violence counseling.
Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Eminem, Bruno Mars and Justin Bieber lead the nominees for the Billboard Music Awards at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas on May 22, with Rihanna's 18 categories taking the largest share as a finalist.
Eminem is at 16 and Lady Gaga following with 12 nominations. Top Artist nominees are Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Eminem, Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber.
Winners in 46 categories are determined by Billboard chart performance, which calculate radio airplay and sales factors. The standard music award categories are included, such as Top Rock, Rap, Pop, Latin, Dance, Alternative, and R&B, as well as Male, Female and Duo/Group.
In addition, categories including Top Digital Song and Top Streaming Song (Audio and Video) reflect the growth of social media. The Top Social Media Artist nominees are Akon, Justin Bieber, Eminem, Lady Gaga and Rihanna.
Performers include Cee Lo Green, Pitbull and Nicki Minaj, Black Eyed Peas, Jennifer Lopez, Taio Cruz, Metallica, and Britney Spears.
Top New Artist nominations go to Nicki Minaj, Bruno Mars, Ke$ha, Justin Bieber and Taio Cruz, while Top Touring Artist will be awarded to either Michael Buble, Roger Waters, Bon Jovi, U2 or Lady Gaga.
Other acts being recognized are Katy Perry, Usher, Drake, Shakira, Mumford & Sons, Jack Johnson, Kings of Leon, Linkin Park, and more in a variety of categories.
Instead of a "favorite" title in the awards to reflect fan votes, done with similar shows such as the American Music Awards, the "top" artist, song or album refers to Billboard magazine's sales charts, including categories like Top Hot 100 Song and Top Billboard 200 Album.
The Billboard Music Awards show began in 1990 but took a hiatus in 2007. This year marks its return. The awards will be telecast in the US on ABC-TV from 8-11 pm ET.
